Students pursuing the master’s degree in forensic accounting are prepared to analyze large and small corporations’ accounting practices by integrating investigative expertise, legal knowledge, and traditional accounting programs. Plymouth State University
College of Graduate Studies
Plymouth State University provides a comprehensive 30-credit-hour accredited degree program in accounting. The school operates campus locations in both Concord and Plymouth, New Hampshire, and PSU’s rolling admission policy gives students the opportunity to begin their degrees at the start of the term that works best for their schedules and needs. Moreover, graduate students are eligible to transfer a maximum of 12 credit hours, and they may take advantage of academic advising services offered at the Plymouth, Gorham, Exeter, and Concord locations. Financial aid options include federal loans, tuition management services, scholarships, grants, and graduate assistantships.
Master of Science in Accounting
The Master of Science in Accounting from Plymouth State University was first offered in the fall of 2014. The program is designed for students who already have a background in accounting and who wish to prepare for certification via either the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exams. The 24-credit-hour degree covers core accounting topics such as auditing perspectives, operations management, and accounting for managers. Southern New Hampshire University
Graduate Programs
Southern New Hampshire University offers hybrid, on-campus and online graduate-level degree programs. These flexible learning options give students the flexibility they need to pursue their education while continuing to handle their work and family responsibilities. The fast-track courses are split up into 10-week terms that take place during the year. MS in Accounting
Students who wish to earn a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Southern New Hampshire University can take the 36-credit-hour program either on-campus or online. The program encompasses three main focus areas, including taxation, forensic accounting, and auditing. Upon graduation, students are prepared for careers as certified corporate or public accountants, financial analysts, and auditors. Students can complete the degree in two years, and the program fulfills the 150-hour requirement set forth by the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. The Peter T. M.S. in Accounting
Students pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting degree from the University of New Hampshire can complete the 30-credit-hour program within nine months. Students who do not have experience or education in the fields of business and accounting may be able to pursue a two-year program instead. The curriculum meets the 150-hour requirement for graduates to sit for many states’ licensing exams, and students will cover topics such as accounting information systems, forensic accounting and fraud examination, and corporate taxation. Students who do not have experience in accounting or business may take undergraduate level courses, including advanced managerial accounting concepts and applications as well as business statistics, in order to meet UNH’s degree requirements.
