The Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership at Albertus Magnus College is crafted to create future leaders of corporate finance. To major in finance, a mandatory 30 credit hours must be completed along with 72 credits of general electives and education. Courses such as financial and managerial accounting are offered to build new skills and garner a basic understanding of different business aspects. At Albertus Magnus College, finance majors can choose from five different concentrations such as corporate financial management or the stock market. Some of the concentrations can also be obtained as a minor.

AMC’s accounting program is part of the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership. This field is challenging, but the reward is worth striving for. With supportive and attentive faculty members, students can confidently learn the fundamentals of accounting through understanding budget analysis, corporate accounting, and auditing. For a major in accounting, 54 credits must be obtained. Courses such as business law, intermediate accounting, cost accounting, and federal income taxation for individuals will allow students to delve into the intricate journey of accounting. If a minor is being sought, 18 credit hours must be completed. For students who wish to enter into a public field, it is required to take the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination (CPA). Albertus Magnus integrates the necessary credit hours into program planning for this route.

Albertus Magnus College also offers a Master of Science (MSA) in Accounting. The program requires 30 credit hours and 150 credit hours for CPA certification. The added benefit of this MSA is that it is available virtually for those who wish to pursue this degree online. Master’s students can also opt for the Flex or Blended programs that combine online and in-person courses.

Albertus Magnus College Application Requirements

Albertus Magnus College is very selective when it comes to applicants with 63.9% of applications being accepted. An acceptable SAT/ACT score is mandatory for consideration.

Accepted students averaged a 1,010 in SAT scores. High school transcripts, a personal essay, a letter of recommendation from an advisor and an application fee of $35 dollars are required for an official application.

Graduate prospectives must present official transcripts, an application fee of $50, language proficiency evaluation for non-native English speakers, immunization documents, photo ID for online students, and any additional credentials for particular programs. Applications can be submitted both online and in person.

Albertus Magnus College Tuition and Financial Aid

For undergraduate and international students who are first-years or freshman, tuition costs are $16,385 per semester and $32,770 per year. Room and board costs vary depending on room occupancy capacities. A room shared with a roommate in either a residence hall or a campus mansion costs $10,692 per year. Dining plans comes in three different tiers with the silver plan being the least expensive at $1,764 per year. Miscellaneous fees from registration, activity fees, and medical insurance add an additional cost of roughly $2,500. International attendees are required to obtain a school-based medical insurance plan which costs $2,277. This is a recurring yearly fee. Transfer students can expect to pay $1,620 per course taken.

For master’s students, tuition is per course or per credit. Miscellaneous fees are charged per semester, per session, per MOD and per credit.

Albertus Magnus College offers financial aid in the form of loans and grants provided both by state, governments and the college itself for students in all program areas for both undergraduates and graduates. A 10% student discount will be credited when siblings enroll as full-time students. All students who maintain a 2.0 GPA are eligible for the work-study program. 91% of students who are full-time undergraduates have received financial aid with an average scholarship range of $10,638.
