The College of Business at Florida International University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Master of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Accountancy, and Master of Accountancy.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance provides students with a solid understanding of how money is earned and invested, management of financial resources, corporate finance, financial institutions, and capital markets. Students learn how to handle a variety of financial issues in various contexts. A total of 120 credit hours are needed to complete the program. The finance courses include Intermediate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Commercial Bank Management, Securities Analysis, International Financial Management, and Financial Risk Management-Financial Engineering. The program is offered both on-campus and online.
The Master of Science in Finance provides students with a strong knowledge base in finance, including financial theory, strategy, methodologies, and practices. It prepares students for the Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst examination. The required core courses include Corporate Finance, Securities Analysis, Quantitative Methods in Financial Analysis, Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Futures and Fixed Income Investments, Financial Risk Management, Global Financial Strategy, Portfolio Management, and Financial Planning and Statement Analysis. Students also have the option to select a Financial Management, Investments, or International Banking and Financial Institutions track.

The Master of Accountancy helps students gain advanced skills in accounting for upper-level careers. The program is accelerated and students can complete the degree in as little as ten months of evening or weekend courses. The core courses include Accounting Information Systems Technology, Control, and Audit, Value Added Accounting Practices, Global Accounting, Auditing, Financial Strategy, Business Analysis and Valuation, and Advanced Managerial Accounting.
