Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study is a federally funded financial aid option available to financially needy students. Through this program, students have the ability to work on a part-time basis to work both on and off campus to make money to help students pay for their college education. They have the ability to work up to 20 hours weekly while taking classes. The pay is at least the current federal minimum wage and students are paid on a biweekly basis. Actual wages depend on each student’s situation. Students are encouraged to pursue positions that are related to their course of study or those that help the surrounding community.
