Post University offers a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Graduate Certificate in Finance, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. The accounting programs include a Certificate in Forensic Accounting, Associate of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and Master of Science in Accounting. The programs are offered both on-campus and online.

The Bachelor of Science in Finance provides students with the necessary education to develop the needed skills for evaluation of financial situations to determine potential issues and come up with profitable solutions. A total of 120 credit hours are needed for degree completion. The courses include Business Law, Financial Accounting, Principles of Finance, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investment Management, and Personal Financial Planning. Students are able to concentrate in general finance, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, financial services and banking, and personal financial planning. Graduates are prepared to take the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 6 and Series 7 examinations.

The Graduate Certificate in Finance is offered completely online. It helps students expand on their finance knowledge and skills. A total of 12 credit hours are needed for completion. The courses include Financial Tools for Managers, Advanced Financial Statement Analysis, Investment Management and Analysis, and Organizational Risk Management.

The Master of Business Administration in Finance provides students with a solid foundation in business administration to lay the groundwork for their concentration in finance. The finance concentration provides specialized understanding and applied abilities in the management of financial institutions, analysis of financial statements, and creating and maintaining financial portfolios. The program requires 36 credit hours. The finance courses include Advanced Financial Statement Analysis, Organizational Risk Management, and Investment Management and Analysis.

The Certificate in Forensic Accounting helps students build foundational knowledge in the investigation of financial fraud. A total of 18 credits are needed for completion. The courses include Fraud Prevention and Examination, Forensic Accounting, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, and Criminal Investigation.

The Associate of Science in Accounting introduces students to accounting concepts and principles. Students must complete 60 credits to finish the degree. The courses include Financial Accounting, Principles of Finance, Principles of Management, Managerial Accounting, and Principles of Marketing.

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting provides students with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statement preparation and evaluation, tax law, auditing standards, and business information analysis. A total of 36 credit hours are needed to complete the program. The courses include Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, Intermediate Accounting, and Advanced Accounting.

The Master of Science in Accounting is a practitioner-focused program that prepares students to solve problems in the workplace and impart change. A minimum of 30 credits is needed to complete the program. The courses include International Accounting, Non-Profit and Governmental Accounting, Advanced Audit Issues, Advanced Topics in Taxes, Enterprise Risk Management, and Current Topics in Accounting. Students can also pursue a Master of Science in Accounting CPA track.

Post University is a proprietary university located in Waterbury, Connecticut. It was founded in 1890 as Matoon Shorthand School. It became Waterbury Business College in 1897. In 1931 it became Post College. It became a four-year college in 1976 and started offering bachelor’s degrees in 1980. In the 1990s, the college changed its name to Teikyo Post University as it became affiliated with Teikyo University. It officially became Post University in 2004. Today, Post University is home to more than 9,000 students on its suburban 58-acre campus and online. It operates on the continuous-based academic calendar.
