The acceptance rate is 100 percent, which means every applicant will be accepted to attend the university.

The application process is the same for the graduate programs in accounting, except applicants must have completed 15 credits of undergraduate accounting courses with at least a grade of C before being admitted into the program.

Tuition and Financial Aid

At the University of Maryland Global Campus, an out-of-state undergraduate student can expect to pay $499 per credit, and an in-state undergraduate student can expect to pay $300 per credit. In addition, an in-state master’s student must pay $480 per credit, and an out-of-state master’s student must pay $659 per credit. This does not include any fees or extra expenses.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (F.A.F.S.A.) is an application process administered by the federal government, which is required to be considered for financial assistance at the University of Maryland Global Campus. It reviews an applicant’s need for financial aid and determines the amount they may receive. Some of the different financial assistance opportunities that students are considered for are scholarships, student loans, state and federal grants, work-study programs, and awards.

Annually, the University of Maryland Global Campus offers over 100 current students a Foundational Scholarship. This scholarship awards students with up to $2,000 yearly. The amount is based on GPA, credits earned, and financial need. To be considered for this scholarship, individuals must be a current student with at least 15 completed undergraduate credits or 9 completed graduate credits, possess a 3.0 GPA, and have completed the F.A.F.S.A.

Community college graduates in the state of Maryland may also be granted the Completion Scholarship from the University of Maryland Global Campus. This cuts the cost of a bachelor’s degree to less than $12,000. A transcript showing the applicant has received his or her associate degree from a Maryland community college is required for the applicants to be considered.
